As the world enters lockdown we are going online to keep connected to our service users.
This month will see a shift in how our young adults can interact with Options In Life. Staff have been working tirelessly in the background to create an emergency programme of interactive online opportunities to support our service users throughout this difficult time.
We completely understand that nothing will ever come close to our face-to-face group activities but unfortunately there is no way that we can safely run any of our projects right now and therefore we will be implementing online courses for EVERY group that we currently run.
We will offer online sessions every day Monday to Friday to our Recreation groups and our Employability group. Each week, participants will be sent out resources in the post so that they can take part in the activity. We will also be dropping into some of our favourite places to visit to see how they are doing, and they will have a lot of special activities planned for us too. We will visit Five Siters Zoo, Edinburgh Zoo, Murton Farm and Willowgate Activity Centre to name a few.
Options In Life understands that almost all Services have been cut for our young people so intend to run additional online session like quizzes, crafts, science experiments and ‘how to’ workshops.
We will also be launching a new closed Facebook group for our young people and their families to interact with each other.
We are a family at Options and we intend to help each and every one of you through these challenging days. We do not know how long this will last, but we will continue this service until we can once again go on outings together.
